The Eaton LES3600LS is an electronic trip unit for Series C circuit breakers from the Eaton Corporation. It is based on the Digitrip 310 and it is rated for 600 Amps. The Digitrip 310 supports 100 to 2000 Amps current ranges. The rating setting can be fixed and adjustable. The short delay level is adjustable whereas the long delay time is fixed (6 x 10 seconds). The short time delay is 100 milliseconds. A fixed instantaneous override is also provided on the LES3600LS and the circuit breaker will trip in less than 20 milliseconds if a fault exceeds the override values. A green status LED is provided on the unit which turns solid in pickup mode.
The LES3600LS is rated for 600 Amps of current. The long delay time is fixed at 10 seconds x 6x. The SD (short delay) pickup level is adjustable and it can be set from 2x to 8x (a fault leading to the override value of 5620 Amps will lead to tripping within 20 milliseconds). The flat-response SD time is adjustable and it can be set to instantaneous or 100/200/300 milliseconds. SD curve shaping is supported and is set to 67 milliseconds at 6x. The ground fault time is variable and it can be set to instantaneous or 150/300/500 milliseconds. An LED is provided for the status display and it is green. Only tripping is provided as an option for ground faults. The following features are not available with the LES3600LS: a diagnosis for the cause of a trip, a remote maintenance mode, and a zone- selective interlock.
