The LT3400T is a Digitrip RMS 310 electronic molded circuit breaker which is manufactured by Eaton. The circuit breaker incorporates a microprocessor-based custom application-specific integrated circuit design for use with the molded circuit breakers. The LT3400T provides true RMS current-sensing with correlations with the thermal characteristics of the conductors and equipment. While installing the device, it is required to inspect the unit and the rating of the plug before starting the installation. The LT3400T should be rated for the specific use, and the current ratings of the device should be within the maximum rating of the unit.
The LT3400T is a thermal magnetic trip unit and it has three poles. The maximum current rating for the device is 400 Amps and it has a fixed thermal adjustable magnetic trip unit. The maximum voltage rating of the device is 600 Volts AC. The device weighs 2.10 pounds and it measures 5.7 inches in height, 5.3 inches in width, and 8.7 inches in depth. Perform the installation for the device as per the application if ground fault trip is required or not. The installation manual provides a step by step guide to install the device for specific applications. When tightening the screws, do not apply a torque of more than 16.27 N-m to the screws, because applying excessive torque will cause the screws to break. Users need to perform the required functional tests and the performance tests as per the regulations to ensure the safety of the operators and to prevent any damage.
