The ND3800WK is a molded case circuit breaker from Series C of the circuit breakers designed by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The circuit breakers from this product family are designed for industrial environments where circuit protection is essential and where many different electrical components work in one cohesive group in order to serve various applications. Series C offers a variety of different circuit breakers for system integration and the breakers are made according to the UL regulations, and so the ND3800WK product falls under the category of UL listed devices. The most important reason for having a circuit breaker as part of the system is to provide a safe environment for the people that are operating the system and to protect valuable equipment that could be damaged due to current overloads or short circuits. Depending on the demands of the application, the users can choose from a range of breakers offered in 15 to 2500 Amps current ratings. Generally, the series offers thermal-magnetic breakers, switches, motor circuit protectors, electronic trip breakers, and breakers that are designed specifically for engine generators, mining applications, or DC devices.
This UL listed device is a molded case switch enclosed in an NG type of frame and with an N frame size. The interrupting capacity of the ND3800WK circuit breaker is 85 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and it is 50 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, while its frequency rating is 50 to 60 Hertz. This circuit breaker’s voltage rating is 600 Volts AC and its amperage rating is 800 Amps. It is important to note that this model comes with t3 poles. In addition to this, the ND circuit breaker is delivered without terminals.
