The EGB3040FFG is an Eaton G Series complete molded case circuit breaker with a current rating of 40 Amps. The EGB3040FFG features 3 poles and it features a Type EG circuit breaker with a 50 to 60 Hertz frequency rating. The module is a complete circuit breaker frame type with the load and line terminals. It comes with 600Y. The EGB3040FFG is a UL 489 device and it is intended to provide protection for the service entrance, the feeder, and also the branch circuits. With a maximum voltage of 480 Volts AC, the EGB3040FFG also features various options including an auxiliary switch, shunt trip, and also the undervoltage release. The EGB3040FFG comes with a panel mounting option with no neutral pole. The EGB3040FFG produces a kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacity of 18 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and one of 25 kAIC at 240 Volts AC.
The EGB3040FFG is UL listed, IEC rated, and CSA certified. The EGB3040FFG also features a toggle operating mechanism. It comes with a toggle handle which is also the status indicator. The toggle is set to snap to the tripped position when the EGB3040FFG is tripped due to an overcurrent, a short circuit, a shunt, or the undervoltage release. Ensure that the cause of a problem is addressed immediately if the EGB3040FFG tripped. In addition, before reclosing the circuit breaker as a result of a trip out, the toggle must be moved beyond the off position. The accessories for the EGB3040FFG include the alarm lockout and auxiliary switches. The alarm lockout operates when the circuit protector is tripped because of a short-circuit or as a result of overcurrents.
